...and so to the second location and sail of the day [from Wrabness].

Turned up quite late (4pm) to find lots of Shoreham locals all complaining about the dodgy sea-state and iffy wind. Everyone seemed to be doing the walk-of-shame thing, and I was told that was my certain fate if I went out with my 5.4m, which was the biggest I had.

Having driven all that way though, I wasn't to be put off by common sense, so rigged up and got changed back into the wet(wet)suit. Just then, the wind seemed to pick up a notch, and the sea had definitely flattened off.

Ended up having a really nice comfortable grooving session for an hour or so, with only a few sailors and a couple of kiters left on the water. Nice actually!

Packed up to the entertaining site of incompetent kiters trying to launch each other, and getting lines all tangled around pretty much anything and anyone on the beach, and another guy bursting his kite and getting dragged quite a long way downwind, then loosing his board for a while etc. etc. Blimey, makes beginner windsurfers look very professional!!

A nice day all-in-all, despite lots of driving and lots of rain.
